申請簽證聽起來不難，但許多繁瑣的文件準備起來卻能讓人沮喪地想放棄。

準備的過程當中

感謝有未婚夫和家人一路以來的支持

甚至不厭其煩地回覆我的留言和問題

英國的未婚妻簽證(Marriage Visa)有分兩種（效期皆為6個月）：

1. 只是來英國結婚不定居

2. 來英國結婚並且定居

我所申請的是2: 結婚＋定居

因此在online application form上面選的是 Settlement ➔ Marriage

這裡列出所有我所準備的文件一覽表供需要的人參考。

大部分的細項我都已盡量詳細解釋，

請不要沒做功課，而後盲目來信詢問文章中我已提供答案的問題。

A. Information about Me (insert the visa applicant's name here)

1. Completed visa application form (Form: VAF4A)

2. Current passport

3. Previous passport(s)

4. Household Registration
    *英文版戶籍謄本可向戶政事務所申請，一份 TWD 20

5. A copy of my Taiwan ID card with translation
    * 申請簽證時被告知，其實不需要這項，只要有英文戶籍謄本就可以了

6. Previous employment documents
    a. Offer letter
    b. Company letter confirming previous employment
    c. First Bank statement (original +copied) with translation demonstrating monthly pay
    * 這裡附的bank statement是要讓簽證官看我每個月的入帳薪水，
       因為我的公司沒有 payslip 這東西。
      不過當然，存摺是中文的，所以要翻譯。
      存摺正本簽證官會收走，護照發回時會一併歸還

7. Taishin International Bank statement demonstrating my financial capability
     * 我是請銀行開英文的餘額證明，並且有加上以下這段話，
        除銀行章外於這段話頭尾加蓋銀行負責經理印章：
        "We can confirm that the funds which were initially deposited on (insert date) are
          still available and have been since the time of the deposit"  
       但這前提是，我帳戶裡的錢確實已在裡面那麼久，
       銀行是絕對不會做 false statement的喔~

8. Criminal Record Check
    * 警察刑事紀錄證明可向警察局申請，一份 TWD 100 

9. Trip history outside the UK in the last 10 years   
    * 這部份是因為我過去10年的出入境紀錄太多，線上申請表填不下，所以才額外打一張出來~

10. English language requirement
      a. completed VAF4A-Annex form 
      * 就是語言能力的那張表格，UK Border Agency官網可下載。
      b. my IELTS report

11. Evidence of my current accommodation
      a. Real Estate Registration Certificate (Land Registry) of my mother's house
          (same with the one registered on my Household Registration)       
          *地契＋所有權，直接向地政事務所申請英文版，一份TWD 100~
          *我媽是戶長，地契上地址與我英文戶籍謄本上地址一致，
           地契上戶長名字與我英文戶籍謄本上母親名字一致，用以證明我目前居所

      b. A letter from my mother confirming we are currently residing together at her
          house as registered on both the Household Registration and Real Estate
          Registration Certificate
          *由我母親親筆簽名（signed and dated）的英文聲明書，證明我於這段期間與她同住

      c. Most recent water bill statement (original +copied with translation) of my
          mother's house (to support the fact that we are currently residing in it)
          *近期帳單（由具公信力翻譯社翻譯成英文），以證明我們確實於上述地址居住

B. Information about My Fiance, (insert name of visa applicant's fiance)  

1. His identity
    a. His certificate of registration as a British citizen
    b. A copy of his British passport
    c. A copy of his HK Permanent ID card

2. His HSBC Bank statement demonstrating his financial capability

3. Evidence of his employment with (insert company name) 
    a. His payslips and P60 within the past 9 months
    b. His company offer letter
    c. Company letter confirming his completion of probationary period
    d. Contract of his employment
    e. Trust and Confidence Undertaking document signed by him and his company
    f. Company letter confirming his raise of salary
    g. His National Insurance (NI) number

C. Accommodation (insert post code)

1. Tenency Agreement

2. A letter from landlord conveying his happiness for us both to live in his property  

3. Surveyor Report demonstrating sufficient space in the property for us both to
     live together

4. Records of Council tax payment

5. Records of electricity bill payment

D. Evidence of my relationship with my fiance, (insert name of fiance)

1. Pictures of us from 2009 to 2011
    (please kindly find enclosed the photo album "Our Love & Romance")
    * 因為覺得把照片一張張洗出來再整理很麻煩，
       所以當時用了在Groupon上買的優惠券
       在雲端印刷網做了一本相片書～36頁 TWD 599

       編輯很簡單，只要把照片檔案放進去，還可以加上文字、圖片和註解等等
       省下了我自己洗照片整理＋編輯的時間 
       從我送出訂單到收到成品只有4天時間，相當方便。
       不過通常店家官方的說法是5~7個工作天
       想要採用這個方法的人要記得預留一些時間喔～      

2. Our pictures taken in wedding dresses
    * 其實是我們的藝術照，但因為不是婚紗照，所以也不能說是pre-wedding pictures..
       不過其實後來這個不需要啦～他們也沒看  lol

3. Emails
    * 我們彼此的email 往來精選，
       其中有包含情人節當天我未婚夫email問我是否有在我香港辦公室收到花，
       還有當時我email裡夾帶我與那束花合照照片的回覆。 

4. Skype records & skype credit purchase history  

5. My fiance's flight ticket/ boarding pass records
    a. Jun-Jul 2009: Hong Kong-Taiwan
    b. Oct-Nov 2010: London-Hong Kong-Taiwan
    c. Apr-May 2011: London-Hong Kong

6. Evidence of our 3-month marriage-like life in the UK
    a. sponsorship letter from my fiance for our 3-month marriage-like life in the UK
    b. HSBC transaction record showing my fiance transferred funds to my account for
        my return flight ticket to the UK to start our 3-month marriage-like life

7. Other tickets/ receipts as supporting documents of our relationship
    * 這部份像是我們一起用餐的餐廳預約紀錄、照片以及收據等，
       還有像是一起看的電影票根、看電影當天的合照等......。 

E. Additional Supporting Documents

1. My personal statement  

2. My fiance's personal statement

3. Timeline  
    * 這部份是簡單統整所有時間歷程，像是我們什麼時候認識，什麼時候在一起，
       我們什麼時候從哪裡畢業，什麼時候在哪裡工作等等。
    * 這份文件沒有一定要提供，純粹是因為我們的交往過程中，
      我因為念書和工作的關係於多國間遊走，希望讓簽證官一目了然才額外附上。

4. Our civil marriage plan  
    * 這份civil marriage plan要感謝Hello UK上的先進提供，我們是採用他們的版本

5. Proof of provisional booking made to Newham Council for our marriage registration

6. Evidence of our engagement
    a. A self-explanatory one-pager on why the engagement ring is not with me
        * 這部份純粹只是怕被問為何沒在我手上看到訂婚戒～其實是Tiffany掉鑽，
           所以我未婚夫帶回倫敦換了個新的～
    b. Receipt on purchase of the engagement ring (Tiffany & Co.)
    c. Pictures of engagement ring
        * 用我戴著訂婚戒的照片證明我們說的是事實～ 

7. My LSE offer letter and other related LSE documents
        *由於我是在倫敦政經學院唸書時認識我未婚夫，
          所以額外附上我在倫敦政經學院唸書的證據。

8. My Bachelor's degree certificate at National Chengchi University
        *只是額外附上以證明我於這份申請書中所有提到過的事件和經歷

9. My certificate of summer course programme with Embassy CES, University College London (UCL)
        *只是額外附上加強證明流利的英語能力，在英國生活不成問題
